SUN Behavioral Kentucky offers among the most comprehensive and wide-ranging treatment options in the country. We have treatment programs for children, adolescents, adults with substance use disorder, and adults with mental health disorders, to name just a few of our programs.
In our Adolescent Program, we work to support adolescents grappling with mental illness, work toward earlier detection of mental illness, properly treat conditions early on rather than later, and reduce the risk of greater complications down the road.
In our Adult Mood and Anxiety treatment, we support and treat some of the millions of adults grappling with mental illness, each year, properly diagnose all conditions, treat diagnosed conditions through psychotherapy and/or medication, and help our patients experience the difference of individualized treatment plans.
In Adult Outpatient Treatment, we offer a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). PHP is a great transition option for those coming out of inpatient care. Patients in PHP attend five group therapy sessions per day, five days a week. IOP is a very flexible option that follows PHP or works well for those who may need more intensive treatment than that offered in outpatient care. In IOP, patients attend three group therapy sessions per day, five times a week. All outpatient treatment includes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), coping skills training, and relapse prevention.
In treating Co-Occurring Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders, we properly address all co-occurring disorders to ensure a patient's long-term success and use integrated treatment that acknowledges the presence of multiple conditions. Our integrated care services include group psychotherapy, recreational therapy, and mindfulness.
Standing By Our Core Values
At SUN Behavioral Health in Lexington, Kentucky, we offer unique outpatient services for people who can't leave behind their life for weeks at a time to receive treatment.
Our intensive outpatient program provides three hours of clinical treatment with a licensed therapist three days a week. Our partial hospitalization program provides five hours of clinical treatment with a team of nurses and therapists for up to five days a week.
